Customer ServiceIt is not just professionalism and expertise that set our staff apart. They all have a strong commitment for delivering great customer service.

DriverWe employ a wide range of talent from front line customer facing members of staff in ticket offices and on trains to operations and depot staff.

All day, every day, we aim to offer a safe, reliable, welcoming and value for money service.

Station AnnouncerAs with any company, the precise number of staff will vary from time to time. As of March 2007, Chiltern Railways employed approximately 729 staff. This increase has been almost wholly in front line staff dealing directly with our passengers.

Staff numbers are broken down as follows:Train Fitter

Train Drivers - 33%

Depot, Engineering and Operations - 16%

Catering Staff - 2%

Retail Sales Staff - 17%

Customer Service Inspectors and Train Hosts - 17%

Directors, managers and clerical support roles make up just 15% of our staff.
